San Diego's holiday season runs on the water as much as on land, and the calendar tends to book out in a fairly predictable order.
Company holiday parties are usually the first to book, often in November for a December date — the Westport 100's lounge and beverage bar are built for exactly this kind of event.
December light-viewing cruises — a lower-key evening on the water taking in the marina and waterfront décor — work well on the Sea Ray 52 or 56 for a smaller group.
New Year's Eve is the single busiest charter night of the year in San Diego. Whichever vessel you book, plan on reserving well before December — NYE dates are typically the first to sell out across the entire fleet.
