CDM Yachts is excited to announce the upcoming 54th Annual San Diego Bay Parade of Lights, a cherished holiday tradition in our beautiful city. This year’s parade will take place on two magical evenings: December 8 and December 15, 2024.
Theme and Spectacle
The 2024 theme, “Peace on Earth,” promises to inspire a stunning array of decorated boats that will illuminate San Diego Bay. As one of the most iconic events in our region, the parade attracts over 100,000 spectators to the bayfront, creating a festive atmosphere that captures the spirit of the season.
Parade Details
**Time and Route**
The procession will begin at 5:30 p.m. on both evenings, following a predetermined route that offers multiple viewing opportunities. Approximately 80 boats, lavishly adorned with holiday lights and decorations, will participate in this dazzling display.
**Viewing Locations and Times**
Spectators can catch the parade at various points along the bay:
– Shelter Island (parade start): 5:30 p.m.
– Harbor Island: 6:15 p.m.
– The Embarcadero: 6:45 p.m.
– Seaport Village: 7:15 p.m.
– The Pier at Cesar Chavez Park: 7:30 p.m.
– Ferry Landing on Coronado: 7:45 p.m.

For the sixth consecutive year, the parade will make a special stop at the pier at Cesar Chavez Park before turning towards Coronado, providing an additional vantage point for spectators.
