New Year's Eve is consistently the single highest-demand charter night of the year on San Diego Bay, and it's worth planning for well in advance rather than waiting until December.
Vessel choice depends on your group: the Sea Ray 52 or 56 for an intimate countdown with a small group, or the Westport 100 for a larger party with room to actually move between spaces as the night goes on.
Timing — most NYE charters run a set evening block covering the countdown itself, with guests bringing their own food, drinks, and any entertainment they'd like aboard.
The one thing that matters most: book early. Every year, NYE dates sell out across the fleet well before the holiday season is in full swing, and last-minute requests are the most likely to come back with no availability at all.
